Terms of service

1. Who we are

BBG Sentinel is operated by Better Be Goods BV (“we”, “us”), a company registered in the Netherlands under KvK number 64779440, with its registered office at Noorderhaven 106, 8861 AR Harlingen. Contact: see our contact page.

2. What these terms cover

These terms govern:

  • your use of this website, betterbegoods.com; and
  • use of BBG Sentinel itself, to the extent not covered by a written agreement.

BBG Sentinel is made available to Better Be Goods group companies and to partner brands under a separate written agreement. Where such an agreement exists and conflicts with these terms, the agreement prevails. Nothing on this website is an offer, and nothing here creates a right to use BBG Sentinel.

3. Access and eligibility

There is no public sign-up. Access to BBG Sentinel is granted by us, to organisations, on the basis described on our Pricing page. We may decline to grant access, and we may change who has access, at our discretion.

The website itself is public: everything published here is readable without an account.

4. Your responsibilities when using BBG Sentinel

If your organisation has been granted access, you agree to:

  • use credentials and issued access tokens only to access data belonging to organisations that have authorised BBG Sentinel to act for them;
  • keep your own administrator accounts and service identities secure, and not share them;
  • tell us promptly through our contact page if you believe an account, service identity or credential has been compromised;
  • not attempt to circumvent the per-organisation isolation described in our Privacy policy, to extract stored refresh tokens, or to probe or attack the service; and
  • comply with all applicable law, including data protection law, in how you use data obtained through BBG Sentinel.

You are responsible for the acts of your personnel and of the systems you connect.

5. Amazon’s terms still apply

BBG Sentinel issues access tokens for the Amazon Selling Partner API on the basis of an authorisation the brand itself grants in Amazon’s console. Your use of Amazon’s services and data remains subject to your own agreements with Amazon, including the applicable Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement and Amazon’s data protection and acceptable use policies.

We grant you no rights in Amazon’s services, and we cannot expand what Amazon permits. Amazon may change, restrict or revoke access at any time and we are not able to prevent that.

6. Authorisation and withdrawal

A brand may withdraw its authorisation at any time from within Amazon’s own console. When it does, token issuance stops. Revocation within BBG Sentinel has the same effect.

The stored credential remains in encrypted form after revocation as part of our security record, and is unusable for token issuance. It is removed from storage on request. Our Privacy policy describes this in full, including what is retained and for how long.

We may also suspend or terminate access — immediately, if we reasonably believe there is a security risk, misuse, or a breach of these terms or of the applicable agreement.

7. Availability

We aim to keep this website and BBG Sentinel available, but we provide no guarantee of uninterrupted availability under these terms. Any service levels are those set out in the applicable written agreement, and only there.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of BBG Sentinel. Where that materially affects an organisation with access, we will give reasonable notice through the agreed channel.

8. Intellectual property

BBG Sentinel, this website, and their software, text and design are owned by Better Be Goods BV or its licensors. Nothing here transfers any right in them to you beyond the permission to use BBG Sentinel as agreed and to read this website.

Your own data, and the data obtained from Amazon under your authorisation, remain yours. We claim no ownership of it and use it only as described in the Privacy policy.

9. Disclaimers

The content of this website is provided for information. We take care to keep it accurate, but we do not warrant that it is complete or error-free, and it may change.

Except as expressly stated in an applicable written agreement, and to the extent permitted by law, BBG Sentinel is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by Dutch law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of turnover, or loss of or damage to data arising from use of this website or of BBG Sentinel. Where an applicable written agreement contains a liability regime, that regime applies instead of this clause.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for intent or wilful recklessness.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always the one published here, with the date of last change shown at the top. Where a change materially affects an organisation with access to BBG Sentinel, we will notify it through the agreed channel.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes arising from them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Dutch courts, unless a mandatory rule of law provides otherwise.

13. Trademarks and independence

Amazon, Amazon Selling Partner API, Seller Central and Vendor Central are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. They are used here only to describe what BBG Sentinel does. Better Be Goods BV is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Amazon.
