Services for brand owners
Better Be Goods BV runs Amazon marketplace operations. Not as advice on a slide: we hold the Vendor Central and Seller Central accounts open every working day and do the work in them — the listings, the purchase orders, the stock, the reconciliation and the reporting.
We do that in two capacities. Both are set out below, because they are different relationships with different rules, and the difference matters to everyone whose account we touch.
The two relationships we operate in
Brands our group owns
Through our group company De Halve Garen BV, Better Be Goods BV owns brands of its own. Scheepjes is one of them. For those brands we are the brand owner: the products are ours, the Amazon accounts are ours, and the operation described on this page is run on our own behalf.
Brands that appoint us
Other brand owners keep their own Amazon accounts and appoint Better Be Goods BV to operate them. The account, the brand and the data stay theirs. We act under a written mandate from the brand owner, with the access that brand owner grants us, and only within the scope they set. The work is the same work described below — performed in their account, on their behalf, for their benefit.
We do not publish the names of the brands that appoint us, or how many there are. That is their commercial information rather than ours, so there is no client list on this site by choice. Scheepjes appears above because we own it.
What we do for a brand owner’s Amazon account
This is the operational service itself, in the detail it is actually delivered in.
Listings and A+ content
Creating and maintaining product detail pages across marketplaces: titles, bullets, descriptions, images, attributes, category and browse-node placement, variation structure, and A+ / brand story modules. Keeping catalogue data correct per marketplace and per language, and putting it back when it changes without warning.
Price management
Implementing and maintaining the price positions the brand owner has set: list prices, promotional periods and deal submissions, price parity across marketplaces, and cost-price and terms changes on the Vendor side. Prices are the brand owner’s decision; we carry them out and keep them consistent. We do not run automated repricing.
Purchase order processing and acknowledgements
On Vendor Central: receiving purchase orders, acknowledging them line by line with quantities and dates that can actually be met, arranging and booking shipments, submitting the shipment notifications, and tracking what was ordered against what was confirmed, shipped and received.
Inventory, FBA and AWD
Planning and replenishing stock: inbound shipments to Amazon fulfilment centres, Fulfilment by Amazon and Amazon Warehousing and Distribution, carton content, labelling and prep requirements, and watching stock cover so a listing neither goes out of stock nor accumulates storage cost it did not need to.
Customer communication
Answering buyer messages and handling returns, claims and post-order questions inside Amazon’s own channels, within the response times Amazon expects of the account.
Financial reconciliation
Reconciling Amazon’s settlements, remittances and invoices against what was actually shipped and invoiced: chargebacks, shortages, price claims, deductions and co-op fees. Disputing what is wrong, evidencing it, and reporting the outcome to the brand owner.
Performance monitoring and reporting
Reviewing the account on a regular cycle — sales and traffic, Buy Box share, account health metrics, content changes, search performance and stock health — and reporting it to the brand owner together with what we propose to do next. This is work our operations team does. The software we are building to do more of it automatically is BBG Sentinel; no monitoring agent of ours is running today.
How we use Amazon Brand Analytics data
Amazon Brand Analytics reports are one of the inputs to the work described above. This section states exactly what we do with that data, and what we do not.
- We retrieve it only for accounts we are authorised to operate. Brand Analytics reports are retrieved for an Amazon account only where Better Be Goods BV is itself the brand owner, or where the brand owner has appointed us to operate that account and has granted us that access. No report is retrieved without that authorisation.
- We use it only for that brand owner’s own channel performance. It is used to analyse and improve the Amazon channel of the brand owner the data belongs to — search query performance, sales and traffic reporting, inventory health, and demand forecasting for that brand’s own products. Nothing else.
- We never combine data across brand owners. One brand owner’s Brand Analytics data is not aggregated, pooled, merged or compared with another’s. Each brand owner’s data sits in an isolated tenant, and access is scoped to that tenant.
- One brand’s data is never used for the benefit of another brand. Not for another brand’s listings, pricing, keywords, assortment or planning, and not for our own group brands.
- We do not sell, license, share or otherwise make it available to third parties. It is not used for benchmarking, not turned into market research, and not used for advertising purposes.
- Access is limited to the people and systems that work on that account. Only Better Be Goods BV personnel and service accounts assigned to a specific account can reach that account’s Brand Analytics data.
When a brand owner ends the mandate or withdraws the Amazon authorisation, we stop retrieving their Brand Analytics data. How data is stored, protected, retained and deleted is described in our Privacy policy.
How authorisation is granted
A brand owner authorises Better Be Goods BV through Amazon’s own authorisation flow in Seller Central or Vendor Central, and can withdraw that authorisation in the same place at any time, without asking us first. We hold the resulting credential in BBG Sentinel, encrypted and isolated per organisation, and we deliberately do not request the restricted Amazon roles that expose buyer names, addresses or contact details. The detail is in our Privacy policy.
